Two new RSII models
to be introduced at CEDIA 2005 Indianapolis.
Knox Video Technologies adds two new members to the
RSII family, giving more versatility to the
competitively priced line.
Gaithersburg, MD- August 30, 2005 -
Knox Video Technologies, a part of QuickSet
International, Inc., announces two new RSII models to be
introduced at CEDIA 2005, Booth 9. The RSII RGB and the
RSII SDI are both innovative new routers designed with
space and budget constraints in mind. They join the
RSII composite video and RSII Y/C models.
The RSII series of switchers was
first introduced last year at NAB and has enjoyed great
success in the market place. Now Knox will extend the
offerings to include high definition analog video along
with either balanced or unbalanced audio. The 16x16
matrix is housed in a single three rack unit chassis,
and can be ordered with or without front panel control.
Like the first RSII machines, the RSII RGB can be
ordered with optional IP control in addition to the
standard RS-232 and RS-422 control ports. Optional
audio control gives more versatility with input trim,
volume control, bass, treble, loudness and balance
control for each input and output. Engineers and
designers can now route audio signals directly to
amplifiers, greatly simplifying and reducing the cost of
installations.
The new RSII SDI offers routing of
standard definition digital video along with AES/EBU and
SP/DIF audio. The RSII SDI has built in reclocking and
equalization capabilities necessary for switching SDI
video over long cable runs. This 16x16 matrix can be
ordered with or without digital audio and is housed in a
two rack unit chassis. The RSII SDI is the perfect
machine for studio or replication applications. Fully
buffered, active crosspoint modules allow for the RSII
to work as a distribution amplifier as well.
Control from a wide range of third
party controllers is quick and easy with our Knox SAS
serial control (Simple ASCII Strings)
through the RS-232 or RS-422 port. SAS serial commands
are easy to learn and pre-programmed control modules are
available from a variety of companies including Crestron,
AMX, and Control 4.
Knox Video Technologies designs and
manufactures cost effective, high performance routing
switchers from 2x1 up to 256x256 to meet almost every
signal routing application. Like all Knox routing
switchers, RSII routers come in a wide variety of
configurations and are backed by Knox Video
Technologies' five-year parts and labor warranty.
