Adding to its line of large-matrix
routers, Knox Video Technologies introduces the
Chameleon 64i, which touts greater video
bandwidth and additional control capabilities at
breakthrough pricing. Building upon the architecture of
the widely popular Chameleon 64, the 64i now
features an internal CPU card which expands the
switcher’s on-board memory and provides faster
communications and routing responsiveness. Several
independent RS232 ports are added enabling multiple,
parallel interfacing with the router simultaneously from
various locations.
The new, upgraded front panel
controller offers added functionality and durability.
Full-travel keys on the keypad controller provide
improved tactile feel and operational reliability. The
new keypad also offers additional functions such as
Salvos, Batches and Output Locks previously only
accessible from the serial port. The sturdier rackframe
gives the Chameleon 64i increased rigidity,
important in less stable installations such as remote
trucks.

Knox Video Technologies’ engineers,
using the latest manufacturing techniques and innovative
designs, have boosted the specs of the Chameleon 64i
while lowering the cost. The video bandwidth has
increased to 25 MHz, and the balanced audio, now using
removable bare-wire “Phoenix” connectors, up to +18dB.
The Chameleon 64i is manufactured under ISO 9000
certified conditions and ships with a 5-year warranty.
Chameleon 64i is ideal for almost any industrial
or professional application. For more information about
